Welcome to downtown South Lyon. Come have a seat on the porch at the historic South Lyon Hotel, have a drink, and do some people-watching.
Look there. All the young ball players are lined up at Brown's for rootbeer--win or lose--just like they've been doing for 50 years; and there goes another group of kids on bikes probably heading over to the Lyon Theater for the 3 Minutes in Lyon Film Festival.
While you're in town be sure to take a stroll over to see the Witches Hat, and maybe ride out through the Huron Valley Rail Trail.
Yes, we're pretty proud of South Lyon's small hometown feel. People know each other here. Generation after generation, kids grow up and then come back to raise their own families. Some say it's a little like Mayberry, other folks will say it's more trendy than that now with Grande Trunke, Lake Street Tavern and some of the other fine businesses that have opened in the past few years.
We know we've got the best of both worlds. We sure are glad you stopped by, come back soon.
